We thank our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ that we have entered the month of December 2024. This month is incredibly special not only for Christians but for all nations and people of the earth, as it is the time we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who came to this world to save humankind.
What a great joy it is! Praise the Lord!
For this marvelous and joy-filled month of December, the blessed promise of God, given in His Holy Word, the Bible, is:
"With joy, you will draw water from the wells of salvation." (Isaiah 12:3)
When we reflect on the entirety of the Bible, we find that the book of the prophet Isaiah provides the clearest description of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Savior of humankind, and His works of salvation. God's living Word assures us that we will joyfully draw water from the wells of salvation.
As we thank God for His protection and blessings from January to November 2024, let us also embrace this new month with gratitude and renewed hope. It’s not a time to dwell on the negatives we may have faced (Isaiah 43:18-19) but to joyfully receive and live out this promise in our lives. Jesus Christ has given us His Word and His power so that we may be filled again with joy from His well of salvation.
If you are feeling empty in any area of your life, the Lord Jesus Christ says:
"Fill the jars (your life) with water (the living water, which is Jesus Himself)." (John 2:7)
Just as the empty jars were filled and revealed the best, so too will the best things in our lives be revealed. In the same way the good things of my life are going to be revealed in your life. This is why Jesus came to this earth from heaven. So, let us embrace this wonderful promise for the month with faith and joy.
Let us pray:
Dear God, our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You for this month of December and for the living promise You have given us in Isaiah 12:3.
We believe that as we receive Your promise, we will draw from the wells of salvation, which are You Yourself. We trust that we will witness the manifestation of Your grace and goodness in our lives. By Your Holy Spirit, You will fulfill this promise in us.
With great faith, we claim every blessing and anointing of this Word for our lives.
All honor and glory to You alone, Lord Jesus Christ. In Your blessed name, we pray.
